Brewster resident Brayan Moscoso Arias pleaded guilty on Tuesday to first-degree sexual abuse following his arrest in May. He faces up to seven years in state prison when he is sentenced on Jan. 29 next year.
Moscoso Arias, who was a Fox Lane Middle School bus driver at the time of his arrest, was busted by county police in Mount Kisco after they received information that he was planning to meet with a minor under the age of 13 for a sexual encounter. Police said that he had met the minor under one earlier occasion, when he fondled her inside his vehicle.
Westchester County Police officers staked out the Mount Kisco parking lot late on May 4 after receiving information about the proposed meet-up. Moscoso Arias showed up to the parking lot at the appointed time, where he was instead met by police and arrested. The child was not present at the time of the arrest.
